Iznenađenje s Oscara: favorit vestern najveći gubitnik, pobjednik večeri je ‘CODA‘

U Hollywoodu, u Dolby Theateru održana je 94. dodjela nagrada Akademije filmske umjetnosti i znanosti na kojoj je relativno mala drama osvojila Oscara za najbolji film. "CODA" nije bio favorit ovogodišnje dodjele nagrada tako da je mnogima iznenađenje, a film je ušao u povijest kao prvi film jednog streaming servisa - "CODA" je film koji je distribuirao Apple TV+ - koji je osvojio najvažniju nagradu. 

Najviše nagrada - njih 6 - osvojio je film "Dune" koji je nagrađen i za najbolju scenografiju i fotografiju. Najboljom redateljicom proglašena je Jane Campion čiji je vestern "The Power of the Dog" inače imao najviše nomainacija. Njezina pobjeda također ulazi u povijest jer je ovo prvi put da je Oscar za najboljeg redatelja otišao u ruke žene dvaput za redom. Lani je tu nagradu osvojila Chloé Zhao za film “Nomadland”. Campion pak je i prva žena koja je za tu istu nagradu dva puta nominirana. 

Najbolji glumac je Will Smith (“King Richard”), Jessica Chastain (“The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) je najbolja glumica, Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”) je nagrađena za najbolju žensku sporednu ulogu, dok je Troy Kotsur (“CODA”) osvojio nagradu za najboljeg sporednog glumca, čime je postao prvi gluhi glumac koji je osvojio Oscara za glumu.
